Fanime '04

It seems as though each con i head off to brings on new experiences - Fanime being no exception at all. Fanime was my west coast con - so i had some pretty high expectations ^^; But lots of fun was had! I stumbled upon Ali almost immediantly with her bright hair -it was certainly a heartfelt reunion as the panel almost stopped for our hugs.

Because i didn't know as many people there (only a select few) i didn't see my self having as much fun as i normally do. ok, lemme rephrase. i had fun - i just wasn't going insane. usually i have tons of people to see and a skit to ready myself for. This was my first con that i actually watched a skit. weird. The masquerade was nice. Hardly any walk-ons and very well put together skits. I couldn't help but think that some of those losing skits could have easily won in the east... such as Pikminlink's Marth... but oh well. The one downfall- it took the judges waay to long to decide. It took ninja fighting kids, two j-pop songs, a grunty pinata, and about 6 AMVs to decide. WAAAYY too long. i was dying in my seat and about half the audience got up and left before awards were given out. but i also have to throw in - i have a new found appreciation for gloomy bears <3

Boos: the long masq intermission; ehh the hall cosplay wasn't what i had hoped ^^;, and missing friends who were probably at PMX - i'm surprised i didn't know as many people! :P

Yays: Really amazing skits/costumes, the hilarious announcer, the luvin i got for being in the Teen Girl Squad and my possum, amazing backgrounds for pictures in CA, goofing around with Lialia and Kiryuu at nights, making some new friends like K, and thankies Katsuren for just all around taking good care of me and being my mommy. Man, when can i go out west again? <3
