Anime Next '04

Ok, I'm just gonna start off by saying, if you are looking for some kind of comprehensive report about this con, just stop reading babe. I barely spent time at the actual con itself. lol. I think I was running from hotel room to hotel room more XD After getting back from Fanime, I was really looking foward to some good quality time with the east-coast friends - and that's exactly what I got ^^

I left with Katie at around one on friday - kind of a late, but she had to fix up her car before she left - we made our way south to Providence and picked up Shelli and Ender-kins too. In total - it took Katie nine hours to get there. I will cleverly not mention that we got ourselves a teeny bit lost. yes i'll leave that part out. But it really just took us that long because of the ungodly amounts of traffic. It was the worst ever. We were all amazingly hot and had to pee. Not good at all. There was much complaining. By the time we got there, you would think we had been at sea for months and finally had been brought ashore.

Getting there so late, Katie made an escape to run off with Kelly for slashly Harry Potter fun while I met up with Usa, Mamo, Mike and the rest of the gang. I quickly changed into Misha. The entire night was really just spent being goofy. I got to catch up with a few friends like Ranma, Carrie and Starwind - but met new people too like Steph, Cyn, Shawn and Kelly- omg, the list goes on.

The next day I went to see Katie - I had asked her to make a Quistis costume for me. I wanted to surprise Sean with it as it's one of his fav FF gals. I must say - teachers with whips = teh awesome. I met up with him and he wore his Irvine costume. We found Starwind and the rest of the crew and made ourselves a nice happy FF8 group. We wandered the con together and made our own FF photoshoot outside as well. Quite fun ^_____^

As the day drew on, I parted ways with Sean and went off to work on Starwind's FF masq skit. However, when time got short, there was no SeeD costume for me to wear anyways. Ah well. I guess I was even announced though XD My friends and I at least tried to see the masq - but being that the ballroom was A) small and B) AN turned out to be a good sized con - we couldn't get in. So we decided to have our own party in Kelly's room - and, yes, i drank a bit. Not typical at all. I guess there was a pact to get me drunk? What good friends I have </sarcasm> Y'all suck XP

Personal Sadness: missing the masq, not being in one in so long, (I know the AN staff couldn't expect it but) there were too many people in such a small place for my liking - AB is packed as it is, i didn't go to any panels, screenings, and the concert which I REALLY wanted to go to. reeeelleee.

Good things: Perty location (and in Jersey? Whoa.), slapping YuffieBunny's butt (I wish I was immune to alcohol like Bell ^^;), meeting Kelly, my Tare-panda purse from Mike, and Shelli's drawing of "Sailor Back-fat" XD
